  1. Pathology code:
  2. group 0 – no acute appendicitis, either no surgery performed or negative pathology,
  3. group 1 – other pathology was confirmed (cancer, diverticulum)
  4. group 2 – mild inflammation (simple, phlegmonous, superficial acute appendicitis),
  5. group 3 – severe inflammation (ulcero-phlegmonous, gangrenous acute appendicitis, perforation)
