Paramedics/EMTs (or ambulance technicians) in any setting clearly providing a different care process for patients admitted to hospital as an emergency. Include the armed forces but exclude air ambulance or other transportation which includes an accompanying doctor.

3. INTERVENTION

 

Development, evaluation or implementation of novel structured handovers or post-handover clinical activity directly related to patient care in hospital for one of the following:

• acute stroke

• acute MI

• trauma patients

Exclude non-clinical activity e.g. evaluation of electronic record systems.
