A case of open lower limb traumatic injury A A 20-years-old male who Injured by stepping on a landmine, was refered for reconstruction of soft tissue defect. Initially, calcaneal bone was exposed and open fracture was noted. Following debridement orthopedic surgeons performed external fixation with K-wire and Ilizarov system to preserve bony structure of injured foot. B After serial debridement with antibiotic therapy, The left anterolateral thigh musculocutaneous flap was elevated and then applied to the recipient site. In this patient, an end-to-end anastomosis was performed between the posterior tibial artery and the descending branch of lateral circumflex femoral artery. C The patient can escape from amputation and can achieved full ambulatory status at 6 months after the operation
