Crewmembers:

Professional characteristics:

Anaesthesiologist

• Consultant, or more than 4 years’ experience.

• Prehospital training.

• Working in Rotor Wing Air Ambulance, Rotor Wing Search and Rescue or Rapid Response Car.

HCM

• Authorised as health personnel, nurse or paramedic.

• Experienced from ambulance service.

• Trained in rescue operations and as assistant to medical doctor on ground and to pilot in-flight. The roles are specific to the Norwegian Air Ambulance concept.

Pilot

• Extensive experience from flight operations.

• Minimal formal medical training.
